MAHATMA HANSRAJ BLOOD DONATION CAMP

As per the initiatives of our apex body – DAV College Managing Committee & Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, New Delhi, a Blood Donation Week is organised between 5th November, 2014 and 11th November, 2014 on 150th Birth Anniversary of divine soul - Mahatma Hansraaj Ji.
In this connection, C.S. DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, MOTIHARI too have organised a Blood Donation Camp i.e. Mahatma Hansraj Blood Donation Camp on 8th November, 2014 (Saturday) between 9:00 am & 5:00 pm.
Shri Gyanendra Kumar (IAS) – SDM (Civil) – East Champaran, Motihari has proudly inaugurated the camp. The Red Cross Society, Motihari has whole heartedly supported the camp along with District Administration & Health Department. A team of four doctors and five support staff were in support with the dedicated staff of school. All arrangements were made by the school administration and there were six beds along with 50 chairs were available for the donors in the Auditorium of the Jr. School Building. Dr. Birendra Kumar – Principal of the school was the first person who donated the blood. As many as 32 parents and 24 teachers & non – teaching staff have donated the blood. The Red Cross Society has collected 56 units of blood and appreciated the total efforts of the school.
Remarks: There was record of blood donation in this camp for the district East Champaran. The last record was of 32 units which are broken in our school with 56 units’ collection of blood.
